Monte-Carlo Gastronomy: 25 years of refinement and conviviality
The world-famous Monte-Carlo Gastronomy trade show has been monitoring culinary excellence for 25 years. Every year in November, this gastronomic show welcomes food lovers to discover a multitude of exceptional products from Italy, France and Europe.
A unique opportunity to meet chefs, attend show-cookings and taste the creative dishes of these cooking maestros.
Supported by Monegasque associations dedicated to the hotel and restaurant industry, Monte-Carlo Gastronomy is one of the most eagerly awaited culinary events of the year on the French Riviera.
An exhibition space of 2500 m2
Every year, the Monte-Carlo Gastronomy takes place in the heart of the magical Fontvieille marquee for a convivial and festive weekend.
On the floor of this gourmet event, a hundred exhibitors are present to offer the whole universe of exceptional ingredients, the art of the table or gift ideas before the Christmas holidays.
Champagne, caviar, foie gras, delicatessen products, salmon, seafood and refined tableware are displayed on the stalls in the prestigious setting of the Monaco marquee.
A tempting program
On the menu for these three days for gourmets, in addition to the profusion of products to taste and buy, many events will punctuate the gastronomy fair in Monaco.
For example, demonstrations followed by tastings by prestigious chefs from the Principality's renowned establishments such as the Thermes Marins restaurant in Monaco or the Café de Paris, or even MOF (“Meilleur Ouvrier de France” - French craftsperson of the year) chefs from the most prized regions of France or Italy.
As a corollary to these irresistible privileged moments, the competitions attract all eyes during the Monte-Carlo Gastronomie:
The Slow Food competition of the Monegasque association that has been defending ecogastronomy and raising awareness of alternative consumption since 1999.
The gastronomic chroniclers' competition, with prizes awarded by Monegasque restaurant professionals
And the most awaited of the show, the Maestro Chef.
Maestro Chef: the amateur competition under the eye of great chefs
3 highlights during the Monte-Carlo Gastronomy: the stages of the Maestro Chef culinary competition. 8 candidates compete to try to win the prestigious Maestro of the Year award under the watchful eye of a jury made up of renowned chefs and the previous year's winner.
Each day, the apprentice chefs must cook a dish based on a theme they learned the day before and the winner qualifies for the next stage until the final on Sunday.
